I used to work in pet shops as a teen, and there was nothing I hated more than the various dog clothes we sold – I have a burning vehemence towards people that try to dress their dogs in little outfits for fun. It’s a slightly different story for people that live in extremely cold climates and use a sweater to keep their dog from getting hypothermia on a walk or things like Thunder Sweaters for anxiety-ridden dogs, but for everyone else (especially the stupid little costumes) they can just spend 100 years in a latrine for all I care.
That being said, someone put giant spider legs on their dog and would let it run out of the door to scare the crap out of Trick or Treaters, and it was SUPER hilarious, so I’ll give them a temporary Hall Pass on that one particular costume used in that one particular scenario.

Ye Fan is an idiot, he keeps letting them off. I just finished “The Emperor of Myriad Realms”(*), this old show I watched on and off for years, and what I loved the most about it was that the MC (Chu Yun Fei) doesn’t let anyone off the hook, he kills them all 😂 And there’s no boring long ass fights, they’re all blown out of the water in a few moves. I’m glad I finally completed it but I’ll miss an MC like that.
(*) “Wan Jie Zhizun”: it started humble and low res but the graphics became really good later. And it’s only 7min if you take out the opening/end bits but it’s what I call good filler: it’s perfect to fill the time while we wait for the good stuff to drop.

I can’t fault them too much for rehashing their mythology though, because the West does it too, with companies like Disney doing things like The Little Mermaid over and over again and stories like King Arthur and Robin Hood – granted, we don’t seem to rehash mythological characters quite as much as they do, but maybe we just have a bigger pool of characters to begin with since there’s multiple cultures to draw from and not just one (China had multiple cultures too at one point but they intentionally try to oppress their history in order to create an illusion of “we have always been “One People” with “One History” in order for the CCP to increase their stranglehold on power).
