I remember when I read all the Harry Potter Novels, and was so disappointed when the movies cut out or changed so many things, but also expected it because no way the movies were gonna be 100% accurate as the novels, that would be too long and too much work.
not to be haters but, it’s fine if you’re not the same with novel. but the plot consistency must be maintained. i think u never saw my previous comments before. in any case, i’m alright with donghuas like rmji, they changed things for better. and pretty sure they have plot consistency compared to the og work. for STH, i mean this donghua deserves better. u can’t just say that it’s adaptation so we need to be lenient or something. i literally have the list of them being inconsistent and rather unsatisfying description of some events. i mean, i know donghua can rush some things, but they don’t honor plot consistency. this donghua adaptation is way too sloppy, i’d rather they remake early episodes. later episodes have been trying to be more consistent, i suppose, albeit with more random plot addition/changes which for now i don’t see the purpose. maybe they have this great plan for the story. but sorry, ever since they inserted weiwei in the middle, while she should’ve been in the beginning of the story.. i’m totally out of phase with the adaptation. that 0.1 second flashback, on that immortal palace floating on the sky when they get out of forbidden region, i remembered clearly. the early episode made ye fan meet elder wu, which is not wrong. but it should be after meeting weiwei. after all, weiwei is a recurring character. they realized it’s a mistake so they inserted her in the middle like that during the so-called chase with gu litian. and i’ll tell you what, gu litian is originally a weak-ass character, ye fan doesn’t need that much effort to beat him. donghua just need to use poison and extra drama so they can insert weiwei. this is called forced insertion, leading to maximized flaw of the plot. that’s only one point, i can mention many many more. so, if you’re not following this donghua from the beginning and understand what i’m saying. plz don’t comment as if you get what i’m talking about. i’m mainly complaining as a helpless fan here. this story, masterpiece, STH from Chen Dong deserved much better adaptation. I mean the whole thing about animation is awesome and great but I need the story to be consistent man..
I understand the Weiwei incident; I was like, “Where did she come from?”. She just came outta nowhere. Also, they made Gu Litian a bit too strong, which wasn’t meant to be like that because Ye Fan was around Dao Palace level 2 or 3, and that’s enough to take on people at the four pole realm easily.
If fine if he compares to the novel, so I know what the donghua cut-off cause I didn’t read the novel, I do the same with BTTH and renegade

eyy no.. i like it that the hag is finally dead. but my question remains: are u a fan from the beginning of the donghua? the hag mentioned that she got burned once upon a time by ye fan right? i remembered correctly. this happened only in novel. they skipped this event in donghua. the event was ye fan was cornered by ji hui and one ji family elder (or grand elder). basically, he got checked and probed like a damn mouse. after just confirming that he’s ancient desolate sacred body, ye fan released five colored flame he collected from level 7 of fire domain. he managed to get there by bodhi seed. and boom the guy died. and ji hui got burned severely, she almost died fr. but that event didn’t happen in donghua. if u realize it’s been replaced by the stupid event meeting hua yunfei, a very sus character, but ye fan just needs to go out heroically for the sake of ziyue. this plot change is not only utterly foolish, it totally denies the stuff ji hui said in this episode. so, another contradiction.

see? people are just joining for awesome looking animation and exciting short story plot. like maybe short drama, i think they’re quite popular in youtube these days. especially from korean. the audience tend to forget whatever happened in the beginning. chen dong’s story is much more complicated and deep. in this sense, we need to appreciate small details a lot. they might be a foundation for whatever plan or future plot that the author planned. and imo, adaptation fail to capture this beauty. adaptation can try changing the story, but they just need to mess things up that bad.

ji hui–> let’s cross that, we’re clearji hui’s elder, i think he’s like the 8th grandpa or something he’s determined to use ziyue by forcing her to marry wang teng to kill ye fan later since ye fan kill ji hui.wang teng –> a guy so strong he was called a reincarnation of great emperor. he was picked up by a crane since he was little and got taught ancient chaos legacy. later ye will trample this guy using that small coffin he dragged out last episode. i mean, can’t blame ye fan, he wasn’t ready yet.ye fan himself –> he’s still duty bound to go home, he will never be able to stay together with ziyue if he doesn’t go home. it’s his obsession and the reason to keep living.ji haoyue –> the guy will never let ziyue near ye fan since he deemed ye fan to be playboy, which sadly is true. he changed his mind after an incident in outerspace where he himself got beaten up and tell ye fan not to let go of his sister if he truly loves her.anyways, that’s all.it’s a long way but between that they often meet each other
