Sheesh!!! Dude, it’s here Renegade Immortal Movie!!! I already know it’s going to be a peak movie. 🔥🔥🔥 We’ve seen a lot of them lately, the movies of different donghuas. But they all give various kinds of hype to whoever is watching. Ngl, I prepared some snacks for watching these, so I’m just going to sit back, relax, and buckle myself to whatever crazy story and action this one has for us. I’m also already expecting a lot of mixed emotions and tear-jerking moments about to happen in this movie. So each of us has to prepare ourselves fam. 🍿😎👌 🍔😩🤌 🍟🤧👏 🍕😭👍
I’m going to be re-watching this one later tonight fam. If it gets uploaded at an earlier time and since I watched it on another website, I have to watch it with better subs. Also, I’ll say the movie quality is something else bro, I was watching it up and down and everything is visually insane. Li Muwan looks beautiful and incredible and Wang Lin looks cold and fire of course, sheesh!!! 🥶🥶🥶🔥🔥🔥 I already know the battles are about to be crazy in this version. And the finishing touches of the changes they made in this movie, man I love it!!! I’m not about to go and spoil anything fam, you have to watch it yourself since this movie is the better version of the episode they made. And it also gives us a much bigger depth of what is really going on in the story.

The only thing I didnt like about this movie is that why they never kissed even once? Wang Lin and Li Muwan had many romantic moments in this movie, but never kissed even once or at the end 😭😭😭

It’s a stand alone movie fam but it’s like a somewhat better version than the episode they created.
Peak? Meh… I’d say it’s around 7.5-8/10. Too much didn’t make logical sense. Fight scenes were decent, but there was a lot of Deus Ex Machina involved too.
How does it go from “Oh no – you attacked the only guy to escape the God Realm you stupid disciple!” to “ahh – now we have the Ancient God Body just as we planned all along!”
That shiz makes no sense! It’s like the writers kept forgetting what they had written just 5 minutes prior, so they kept changing the aims and goals of the “bad guys”.
Fight scenes were okay, but also pretty lame in parts where he’s just punching giant spirit statues.
I was surprised in a good way by the 1.5 hour runtime, but the content was rather lacking overall. Still worth watching, but it’s not nearly to the level of the main story in terms of the story line or fights.
I will always love the “Wonder Twins Power: Activate!” scenes between the Main Body and Clone Body, however, lol.

I believe these events happened between episode 63 and 64, before Wang Lin goes to the celestial realm arc. He is at the early stage of deity transformation. As for whether this movie is Canon or not, I am still trying to figure out.
Movie starts with Wang Lin savings mortals, damm what beautiful animation this movie has. Sheeeeesh, definitely one of the best movies I have seen adapted.
But man I think the focus of this movie was Li Muwan, because we wont be seeing Li Muwan for a loooooooong time until the end of the novel, so the movie wanted to focus her romantic relationship with Wang Lin. And wow, the relationship between them is extremely strong, no wonder Wang Lin goes back in time and resets the dream world every time to find ways to save her from dying.
I love how this entire battle could have gone way differently and the eternal night city people could have gotten what they wanted. Literally all they had to do was give Wang Lin the antidote for Li Muwan’s poisoning, because in the movie he says “Just give me the antidote, and the rise and fall of demon city has nothing to do with me.”
But if considering this is canon, seeing the fusion of his ancient god and clone body for the first time was amazing, he literally lost everything in the end like all his treasures and ancient god body , but he still managed to kill them with Li muwan’s help. Thats our boi Wang Lin, always getting out of the most trickiest situations.
But regardless of all that, this movie was perfect and 10/10.

The writing is shit: in one scene they say it’s a blunder by Wen Kuang, but later they’re acting like it was all part of a complex plan to get hold of Wang Lin’s Ancient God Body. Which is it?

This was absolutely sub-par compared to the show. Illogical jumps in the writing/story line, drawn out and anti-climactic fights, cartoon-ish villains – I really enjoy the writing and fights in Renegade Immortal because they are NOT all of those things I just listed: the regular show is well-written, the fights are intense, and the “villains” tend to have logical or believable reasons behind their actions.
This movie is a mere shadow of the quality of the show.
i cannot say that it was boring but i have to admit that i am not that toched of their relation because i have read all of the novel and for that i can not really regard their relation as interesting and that a fact most fan will never accept

It was largely boring because the writing was crap and the fight scenes were all drawn-out and anti-climactic.
Regular RI episodes are FAR better written and the fight scenes feel more intense. I was literally falling asleep during the movie and had to keep rewinding it to catch the dialogue I’d missed. Was it mostly enjoyable and watchable? Sure. Was it great? Not really. Give me my weekly Renegade Immortal over this any day of the week.
This felt like Season 6 Game of Thrones levels of writing compared to the Season 1-4 of Game of Thrones that the regular series evokes – it was written by people who lack the imagination of the original author and who only have a surface-level understanding of the MC and the source material.

the title “battle of gods” i think is a bit of an exaggeration, not as i thought, because It turns out that the battle that occurred was only at the level of soul formation and 2-star ancient god, still the first step of cultivation level, it’s still a long way from ascendant…ugh
