This one has a fair amount of action so you will enjoy it. But the character growth is what will carry the series. Our boy Xu Qing is as ruthless as they come, very quiet but a mad genius.

This MC really picked the shortest of the short sticks. Other MCs get reincarnation hacks or atleast go into a sect to learn then venture into secret realms for experience. This MC got nothing, except total destruction, twice. I feel like that deity just shows up to torture him by killing everyone and leaving him alive.

if you have read issth you can keep your expectations high for btt, for instance btt has many arcs which are on the same level or higher thank the ke juisi(father) arc of issth. i think that would be enough to tell you how good the novel is. i would also recommend reading the novel

Finally we get Er Gen’s latest novel, Beyond the Timescape. It has only 30 or some more chapters to completion so a good place to start the donghua. Am so looking forward to watching our cinnamon bun Xu Qing and Captain Erniu on screen finally. Let the adventure begin.

Alright, the animation is up there with the best. The story, mystery and thrill is present from the start. Am already hooked and intrigued by the face and the mystery behind it.
My only gripe with cultivation levels is how the people are usually conveniently around the mc’s stage. Some novels try to explain it e.g., in renegade Immortal, Suzaku is technically a waste planet with the highest at Ascendant. Zhao is a 3rd level country with Nascent soul at the highest so its understandable there are no 2nd step cultivators or so.

I like this one better. Not so over the top like Eclipse of Illusion, or emotionless like World of Immortals. And it differentiates itself a bit from the rest of the pack to keep it interesting. I just hope it doesn’t fall into ‘all flash, no substance’ territory. My 2¢

Clearly, these people didn’t take old Neil’s lessons in mysticism: do not gaze directly upon a god. As we know, most prominently from PJO, the gods are complete assholes. Except for the Willow Goddess. We’ll wait and see about the Evernight Goddess. Oh, I did forget Nyx from STG.
What in the Lovecraftian, apocalyptic, gory hell is this? I’m loving it so far. Why did I laugh so unnecessarily hard when he threw the rock at the body, and it fell over? Moreover, did the bird really deserve that? Thought, I guess it’s a good thing he didn’t swallow the crystal.
The animation is so crisp. And, damn!!!!! Wang Lin would be so proud of lil dude for dealing with that ass. Peak moments were when he stood behind the half door looking menacing and when he shushed him.
Last, when will the music for this become available? The opening, ending, and soundtrack are all gaoted. Why is donghua music never readily available to stream?
