I think someone in the studio animation proposed the idea to replace the sword spirit Xun by Tianqiong.
I don’t read the novel but i have the feeling that most of Tianqiong’s scenes belong to Xun and the screen writers changed the script for it to fit Tianqiong, that’s why she has so much screen time.
From what i heared in the novel Tianqiong is a man and he dies earlier in the story.
But as she is popular in the donghua the screen writers decided to keep her alive. 🤦♂️
We might not even see Xun this season.
And from what i understand in the novel the girlfriend of the mc wakes up later in the story, they changed that too.
Normally right now in the donghua she is suppose to be still in the coma.
It is a shame. Haven’t read the novels either and didn’t mind that they turned Tianqiong into a woman. It is the plot holes and mind-numbing writing that infuriates me. Also I do not wish to see feminine male strippers. What the hell is happening there in China? The previous season was bearable enough, but this? They revived the white haired chick only to put our brains in a coma. Hell to the naw!
