If that was true you wouldn’t have seen Li’s father whining about having the treasures taken from him. He’s as power hungry as ever and they all are. You don’t exist for literal hundreds of billions of years and suddenly change overnight. These people if given the opportunity will absolutely go back to fighting for power and prestige.

Exactly! I don’t know why this is downvoted. Children don’t choose to be born instead it is the obligation as a parent to raise your children including food, clothing, and education. Having children is a CHOICE. They literally used their daughter to gain a tremendous amount of treasures from many different clans. Her father was actively planning to kill her children and her uncle had he won the celestial throne along with her husband. Qin Yu has always tried to take the path of forgiveness & attempting to be the bigger person, but you could see when Chehou won he still hasn’t learned a thing and wasn’t deserving of those treasures whining about not yet “mastering the time law.”

Had her father had any real remorse he would have apologized to them and given the treasures back to his brother. He didn’t. He whined about having them taken. And I remember Li’s mother saying they needed to ally with the Thunder clan to “gain a foothold.” Both of them sold their daughter and discarded her happiness for power. They are disgustin!. I wished desperately that Qin You had killed her father because ultimately for him power is more important than his brother, friends, or his daughter. He’s just another monster in the heavenly realm given too much power that he’s not deserving of.

All that bickering only to end up sidelined for someone whose heart is in the true path. Qin Yu dodged a bullet by being generous with her father or he might have blamed him for this.

I was wondering why Thunder Gramps was so oddly cooperative during the whole ceremony, considering his whole lineage was rooted out a couple of days ago.

He already made them household slaves and MC already took their most precious clan-bound holy artifact, so they’ve already lost their prestige, power and willingness to fight. They’re pretty much as good as dead inside.
