If you drink them straight up until you feel full, you’ll go through a ton of them; you have to give it some time after the first one for the satiation mechanism in your body to kick in. Same with eating meals if you’re trying to cut calories and portion sizes: if you eat a bit and then stop, after 5-20 minutes you’re no longer full, but if you keep shoveling the food in your face you won’t feel full until you’ve eaten 2-3 times as much as it would have taken had you eaten slowly.
