If you use speakers, you could try looking around for a really REALLY old piece of kit (like, from the 80s) called the BSR Spatial Enhancer (I think the model is just BSR SE-ONE or something like that); you’ll have to convert the 1/8″ headphone jack coming out of your computer to RCA jacks and then the RCA jack back into 1/8″ for your speakers, but what it does is shift the stereo (right and left) sound out of phase slightly to make the speakers sound further apart, and you can also add a bit of reverb with one of the dials on the device. Basically it makes it sound less like you’re listening to things on speakers and more like you’re actually there. It can be hard to find them as they weren’t super popular and they are also like 40+ years old, but I love mine and it sounds fantastic with my Bose Companion 3 Series II speakers. Bose tends to be a bit thin in the mid-ranges but this helps them fill out my room nicely. It also has a cool old style blinky light that gets bigger and goes from green to yellow to red when the sound gets louder, hehe.
