The retcon for this series had it as something like their energies merged together in Medusa's body and created the baby, which was more of a spirit baby than a human baby, but still took human form. Or something along those lines.

The same template with a few words swapped from week to week after watching in double speed looking for faults. But hey it makes the creature feel relevant and pleases the bf, hater #2 so, here we are xD At this point I’m not even naming shows I like on comments so the bad smells don’t follow.
