I stopped watching that one because the author wrote the MC in such a terrible way. He had almost non-existent self-control around ladies, always wanting them all. Don’t even get me started on the die/respawn feature.

From my experience, the more ladies an MC has, the messier the story. Too much drama and side quests. My personal preference is an MC who is self-aware and in control of himself, not going googly eyes simply because you saw a pretty lady.

I have a hypothesis, it’s very far-fetched, and still in review. Due to China’s one-child policy, they skewed the natural order by terminating baby girls or selling them off, which led to ladies being “rare” in the current generation. Add some economic factors, and the number of singles in China comes to about 250 million.

The authors are catering to this demographic, which is why there are shows like that one, where 1 man has like 30 wives, and other shows where the ladies are absolutely unbearable but won’t get killed off, or MCs treating them like goddesses despite their bratty behaviour.

It’s a good escape from reality since it feeds that fantasy.

It is a hypothesis, so be skeptical.

Yep that’s exactly what i think since the start of this sseason, i miss the Luo Zheng of the second part of season 1, he was ruthless like Shi Hao and he did some pretty good aura farming in that season. 🤷‍♂️
